Why should anyone get their employment offer reviewed before signing it?

Simple -- an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. It's much easier to make changes or negotiate improvements up front, rather than signing the contract and then trying to deal with any issues afterward. During an offer review, an employment lawyer can:

• suggest areas where you may be able to negotiate improvements. We can also suggest strategies, provide talking points, and ghostwrite emails to help you with those negotiations
• spot terms that do not comply with the applicable laws
• tell you whether there are any "red flags" you should be aware of
• explain certain terms to help you avoid surprises later on
• identify additional terms that should be included for your protection.
